Illustration Friday ~ Pet Peeves

I thought I'd just do a quick doodle so that I'd actually have something to show this week.
It sounds odd in this day and age, but I really cannot stand the telephone. I know that it is probably the most practical method of communication, but I find it so intrusive and quite annoying actually. If only I could survive in this modern world without one.

Oh, me too. E-mail is the greatest thing for me because most of my clients contact me that way. I still cringe at the sound of the phone ringing. I don't know why... I quite enjoy talking to people in person!

Now that I've finished my little rant, I must say that's quite a nice illo. Love the kinky cords!

Very cool. Just the way I like to see phones: off the hook.

Lovely illustration. I must check out the rest of your work.
I mentioned the phone as part of one of my peeves :D
Nice one.

I love the line quality in this work! It's beautiful.

I also feel the phone-phobia/peeve...I barely use one. I think it's a visual/verbal thing. I would rather look someone in the eye to talk to them, and the phone is just an auditory tool.

I love this picture, the colours, patterns they make...I hate the telephone too, something about them being impersonal and artificial.

Don't call me, I'll email you.

I can hear a ringing phone, and let it ring and ring and ring. That is why god invented voicemail.

Now f2f? Oh I can talk forever.

I agree with you...I hate talking on the phone, and I never manage to actually answer mine.
