Illustration Friday {Farm}

At the time it seemed like a genius idea for the farm animals to run away and join the circus - the fame, the fortune, the glamour! Somehow, it just didn't turn out the way they planned and they aren't so sure anymore. Although, it looks like the barn mice have finally found their true calling :)

This is so far beyond creative it makes me feel like I don't even try! That's a compliment, by the way. :-) I'd love to see barn mice balancing on a tiny bicycle...that would be worth the price of admission. Great stuff...I really love your watercolors and thanks for commenting on my farm!

Hello Sally,

What a wonderful illustration. And love the little story that goes with it. Real neat and cool.

I have to say I can appreciate your illustration here much more than some/many of the selected entries to the Communication Arts Illustration Annual.

Keep up the great drawing.

Cheers,
Kempton

P.S. After reading your wonderful bio, please keep writing share all the cool things that you are making and enjoy. If your Dad are still reading, we are still reading. No worries. (smile) My dad will actually skip some of my own technical stuff that are "not his cup of tea". (big smile)

P.P.S. When Warren Buffett writes his Chairman's Letter every year, he also picks his relatives to write to. In his case, Warren writes with his sisters in mind as readers. Whatever works for you.

My favourite part of this illustration is the crowd in the background...shadows and shapes.

Whatever you do, do not alter your writing method or style. Warren Buffet can keep his sisters in mind if he wants, but this is not a chairman's letter here. This is you, your voice, your intimations about what moves you. Often, what you write coincides perfectly with the art of craft you display? They are congruent, extensions of one another, and that is what makes them beautiful.

Whew, I better get lucky for this one.
