I think one of the cornerstones of the Parisian diet is a fresh cafe au lait and a long cigarette. The French people are so glamorous and the air is so...hazy.

This is so lovely and vivid, the colours are wonderful. I love the delicate inky outlines, I love her lips, but mostly I love her hand!
I remember being in Paris in a shoe shop, a woman came in smoking a cigarette and carrying a small white dog. She continued to do both as the shop assistant bustled about her, fetching shoes and trying them on the womans feet.

Perfectly Parisian. You've captured the essence of Paris so well - the drama, the glamour, the sheer decadence. Great work!
When people smoke in Paris, it is not the same as North Americans, where the cigarette hangs out the corner of the mouth or pooches precariously on the end of one's lower lip. No, they smoke as though they are playing a delicate instrument, like the smoke is an arrangement of musical notes.
Of course, the tune is death and it smells like hell. But, the image is much more graceful, to be sure.
