Recess "play" involved 3 vital parts when I was a kid - skipping (usually double dutch - I'm no athlete, but I was addicted to this), flying super heros and ,of course, a huge amount of make-believe.

I love this!!! Oh to jump rope with a hippo and a squirrel...wouldn't that be somethin!?!
Just gorgeous! Is this watercolor wash or acrylic? Great colors and perspective and a very light sense of whimsy!
Great job! Neat take on the illo friday theme. Yes, I agree with l.a. stern, great use of perspective!
Great stuff! Is that RPS in the corner?
This is great!
that looks like fun! great world you've created
Ken - Yes, that is our very own Ruthven :) Don't you miss it? LOL
l.a. stern - this is done in watercolour wash with pen and a little bit of water colour pencil for some touch up.
Thanks all for the comments! :)
This is very prety, great work!

I skipped with a hippo once...hurt like hell.
Harry
yep. this is GREAT.
Wow, you drew that? it's fantastic!
Nice work. I got sucked in by the bird icon for your link on I-F. I had no idea there'd be so much more to it.
What an imagination! You really have a way with watercolors. This is delightful! Thanks so much for commenting on my blog!
wow! I love this one. beautiful painting!!
How wonderfully original. Love it.
this is so creative and fun. great watercolor technique and perspective.
This is awesome! The little red bird is cute!:)
i am totally in love with this!!!
This is so wonderful. I adore all of the teeny details: hippo's footprint, the little red birdies, critter's hat, the great flowers, and of course that amazing soft felty ball of a world.
Are you familiar with Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeah? I'm pretty sure this outfit would be in her wardrobe. I saw her wera a hat just like this one!
Flossy - I just googled the Yeah Yeah Yeahs cuz I never heard of them. So wicked! She is completely zaney - I can only imagine what the music would sound like. I would love to see her wearing that helmut hat too - sweet...
Thanks so much for your comment!
